Ontario’s snow resorts provide safe and healthy outdoor recreation for students. Safety is paramount at all facilities and is essential for any great day on the slopes or trails. Consult with your local Schools on Snow resort for their specific safety guidelines and policies.

Ontario Physical Health Education Association
Educators planning school trips must ensure that the Schools on Snow facility, school staff and students are aware of and adhere to the Ontario Physical Activity Safety Standards for chosen activities.

These guidelines were created by the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange (OSBIE) in partnership with the Ontario Snow Resorts Association (OSRA). Educators planning school trips to snow resorts will find this document very helpful. Highlights include:
A province-wide initiative by the Ontario Snow Resorts Association (OSRA) in partnership with the Canadian Ski Council to expand access to Ontario’s snow resort activities to all students. To support educators and students with school trips we are providing Ontario curriculum-aligned lesson plans, links to education initiatives and strategies/resources for removing barriers to access.
